Ferrari has chosen a very agressive aproach to their Japanese grand prix tyre choice. The Maranello squad chose the most supersoft tyres of all teams. The Italian team chose ten sets of the softes rubber for the Suzuka event, leaving only two sets of soft compound tyres and one set of medium.
Mercedes duo will have one set of white-banded medium tyres and two sets of yellow tyres more than Ferrari, which could prove crucial in dealing another blow to Sebastian Vettels title chances.
Interestingly, McLaren opted for a complety different strategy, selecting four sets of medium, five sets of soft and only four sets of super soft tyres.
